Aug 2011  I have a small solo show of beach paintings at the RBSA gallery until  3rd September.

May 2011  I have had a portrait of my son, Jamie, accepted for the Royal Society of Portrait Painters Annual Exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London.

I have been elected a full member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists.

Our 3 man Exhibition 'Melange 2011' is on at Kiddermister Library until May 28. 

September 2010 I appeared as Artist in Residence at Dudley MBC's Heritage Day at the Council House , Dudley. 

June 2010  Part of three-man exhibition 'Melange', with Brian Fletcher RBSA and Keith Turley MA at RBSA gallery, Birmingham. Tthe exhibition transferred to Dudley Museum and Art Gallery July-September.

July 2008 My portrait of my daughter Rachel is on display at the RBSA Open Portrait Exhibition. I appeared on BBC WM radio for a short segment to advertise the opening of the exhibition.

I was the subject of a full page interview with the veteran journalist John Ogden in the 'John Ogden Meets....' series in the Express & Star newspaper. I painted a portrait of John while he interviewed me. 

May 2008 I have had two paintings accepted for the RBSA  Open Prize exhibition.

April 2008  I have been elected an Associate of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists.

March 2008 I am thrilled to have a painting (Rachel) accepted for the Royal Society of Portrait Painters Annual Exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London. 

Nov2007 I am exhibiting at both the Wolverhampton Society of Artists exhibition at Wolverhampton Art Gallery and the Dudley Society of Artists Annual Exhibition at Dudley Museum and Art Gallery. I have won the 'Local Interest Award' at the latter exhibition for my portrait of the former Mayor of Dudley, Councillor John Woodall.

 July 2007 My portrait of Melvyn Roffe, outgoing Headmaster of Old Swinford Hospital school , nr. Stourbridge, was hung in the Great Hall of the school, alongside portraits of all the previous headmasters, dating back hundreds of years. The Stourbridge News ran a feature on this on 5th July 2007.

 

June 7th I was delighted to be awarded a major RBSA prize at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists Prize Open Exhibition, for my painting 'Elliot'. Another oil painting 'Sharon and a Rose' was also accepted for the exhibition.

 

May 2007 This month I have completed a portrait of Councillor John Woodall, Mayor of Dudley 2006 - 2007. Councillor Woodall kindly gave me 3 sittings in the Mayor's Parlour at the Council House, Dudley. Articles about the portrait appeared in local newspapers Express & Star and the Stourbridge News and Dudley News.

I also had a stand at the Art1st exhibition at the Bonded Warehouse, Stourbridge 19-26 May.

So far it only contains examples of my portrait work. I hope to include landscapes and still life paintings within the next few weeks.
